ECM fail-safe relay
#1
My display on my Rubicon is flashing. Code 10. Fail-safe relay. I was told just to air dry out electrical box behind storage box which I will have to take off. Is this very hard and has anyone done this?

First with the key turned off, depress and hold both up and down shift switches, turn on the key while holding them, let off and depress again, let off them. While the codes are flashing, depress and hold both of the shift switches again. This should erase the codes.
Repeat the process above again after the key has been turned off. If any codes are present, erase them as I described above.
Reinitialize the unit. Start it and see if the meter quits flashing. If not, don.t worry about it, temperary problem.
If you need to the ECU terminals can be removed and dried without removing the ECU. I advise blowing the area clear of moisture, dirt etc.. with an Irhose before removing the connectors. Be carefull not to damage the pins when reinstalling the multiple wire connector and make sure you hear a click from them when installed. This confirms the connection is seated properly.
