Good digital camcorder for an atv $200 and under?
#1
Hi, I've always wanted to make videos on my atv. Now that I've got some extra cash, anyone know a good camcorder? I want a digital to upload my videos, maybe on youtube. I have a bayou 220 and ride trails in the woods, with the occasional puddle here and there, and there's even a track in the middle of the woods. Anyone know a good digital camcorder (cheap)? P.S. Are there any camcorder mounts or strap ons for your helmet to use a camcorder? Thanks!

I'd suggest a google search for what all you need. There are a few writeups of what all is needed. Figure you're going to invest about $500 for a setup. You'll need a video camera, preferably with a LANCE connection to stop/start recording. There are several companies selling helmet mounts with bullet cameras. Start at about $200 and go up from there. You'll want a case to put the camera in to protect it from bumps and especially crashes. Most people use Mini-DV cameras as they are compact.
