Gordon Mod on a 400EX ?

Gordon Mod on a 400EX ?
I had a 04' Honda XR250R dirt bike that I did the Gordon mod on and it works excellent . Has anyone done this same "baffle removal" on a 400ex ?
Also, I notice that Troy racing offers a K&N Jet kit , what does this consist of and will it work good with the above mod. ?
