400ex jetting
#1
I have a 2001 400ex, almost stock! I bought a "power" tip off ebay that opens the end of your muffler from 15/16 in to 2 in. I also modified my stock airbox. I cut a 4"x4" hole in the top of my airbox lid and stuck a lawnmower air filter in the lid to get better airflow. Do I need to Jet?? any help will be appreciated

Anytime you modify the air intake or exhaust it would be best practice to re-jet. More air in and more air out will definately mess with the jetting. You will want to rejet or run the possibility of having a lean condition because of the more air being allowed into the carb. Lean conditions cause big problems.
