I am overhauling my 660 do to the piston skirt shattering. I bought a service manuel for it and followed the instructions on splitting the case and removed the the ballancer drive gear and buffer boss which was pressed onto the the crankshaft but has no alignment marks for the buffer boss to go back onto the crankshaft and i know that it has to be timed so that the ballancer and crankshaft do not hit each other. Has anyone ever removed and reinstalled the buffer boss?
