started up the craptor today turned over nice..but when i ease on the throttle a little less than half way something pops down around the carb and it cuts out...you can gun the throttle and it does what it normaly does(what it supposed to ha)...took the carb off cleaned it..same thing...any ideas? gas is not old...05 craptor 660 hmf full exhuast k&n 160/155 jets...i have not done anything diff to it since last 876876 times i rode it(besides maint.)

yeah i dont know what the deal is..iv had it set up the same way for about 3 years now but for some reason it just started doing this...

 

is the throttle cable good?

 

im not sure what that would have to do with the carb popping then dies instantly..but yup cables all good and intact...

 

u don't own a craptor....

check your intake boot

 

i suppose this is true..im glad i dont though, i got enough problems with a stock motor...but boots are good no holes,slits,sealed up real nice,etc...
