alright,im a woods rider,with a few jumps ranging from 10-50 footers.
i love to do wheelies, but as of right now i only have an aftermarket air filter.
my quad will only do low 60s what can i do to get it to mid 70s?
im thinking of boring it to a 440.how much will that help?
**i just want to know some of those little things you can do to your quad that free.
something with an airbox ive heard?what do you do to that?andwhat else is there?
ive heard about doing something to your baffle, isnt it better to just take the whole back piece out?thats what i did and its great.or is there a better way?(noise aint an issue)
i love the gearing as of right now too because i love power and speed so its perfect.so i dont wanna change that
is a rev box a good investment?do they add and top speed?how much?
im not looking to spend much because if i did,i should have just gotten a 450r,but a 400ex is a super reliable quad and will do it all.

ok heres what i would do. Im just the kind of rider you are. A stock 400ex will do higher than 60s. You should be close to 70 but anyway If you dont want to spend to much i would get a pipe not system just a pipe, jet the carb, and rev box. The pipe i have is an fmf power core 4. Its great. I gained alot of wheelie power and a little more top end. I wouldnt go to a 440. Ive heard they mess with your engine and break a lot so yea. But thats what i did to mine and its a lot more power and top end.

how much better is a fmf pipe than a stock exhaust with baffle off the back end...
what rev box did you get
and what does jetting it do with a stock exhaust?i thought u jet when you get an after market one?
im a heavier rider almost 250lb so it does lower 60s

if you don't change your gearing your top speed won't change, end of story. I mean you can always get a rev boz if you want to blow the thing up wide open in 5th gear, but you should really just get a 36t rear sprocket instead of your stock 38t for like $25 and do the other cheap bolt on mods. I can ride a wheelie all the way up through 5th gear with my setup, there's no reason why you couldn't do it in at least 3rd or 4th.
