Here is what I think just have fun an enjoy your quad it really don't matter who's is faster just enjoy an have fun. My inlaws have Yamaha's an kodiak 400 an 450 an when we go riding who is faster dose not matter as soon as you quiet letting it bug you you will have more fun.

Look at it this way - you come in second and your sister comes in next to the last...

hahaha that ones good buckaroo. but ou guys should atleast try to help him answer the question. i agree with everybody else, you should look at it more as having fun, but if you really wanna beat ur sister then throw a pipe and filter on. you might gain a little more rpm at the top, then throw taller tires on to get the top speed up. just my 2 cents

It is going to be pretty hard to beat an additional 100cc V motor. Not that it can't be done but you are looking at spending some bucks.

First I would open up the air way (air-jet) to my air box (get as much air as you can), this may allow you to put bigger jets in (you get hp from gas - but you need the correct air/gas mix too) - definitely run the lowest octaine - the lower it is the faster it burns/explodes. Mix in some PX Super 99 Isopropyl alcohol this will help to keep your combustion chamber a little cooler (maybe as much as 100 degrees). It will also help to ionize your gas (make smaller drops from bigger drops of gas) - for better dispersion and more efficient burning. Also mix about 1 oz of two-stroke oil for every 2 gal of gas - this will help lubricate your top end and also give a better seal on your rings. Or you can use Marvel Mystery Oil for the same thing.

Get a K&N air filter or oil yours with a light oil such as Marvel Mystery Oil or two-stroke oil - make sure you squeeze all the excess out.

Trick - (get a small coffee can and some extra gas line - coil the gas line around the inside of the coffee can - just before you race fill the coffee can with ice - this will cool down your gas and condense it - more gas by volume).

You can also get a dial-a-jet kit with the optional remote bowl and induct it with alcohol or any go fast stuff you want. Whole setup about $225.00

The exhaust is also going to help but again expensive - I would check around for a muffler that goes to a tractor or get a round automotive glass pack (cherry-bomb) - preferably for an import (smaller exhaust pipe - closer match to what your header is).

Next thing would probably be a clutch kit - get the setup for what you want your machine to do. You may only have to change the primary spring, and not the whole kit... A good resource is to call Dalton on the phone and discuss your options.

Then invest in a performance CDI - preferably one that is programable and will allow you to move your limiter a little, maybe 500-800 rpm.

I would be careful about tires, you could spend money on taller tires and it would pull too slowly to hit the limiter.

If you race her side by side put about 10-16 lbs of air in your front tires and about 6-10 lbs in the rears, but don't let her know it.

If you want to start to do engine mods then you are looking at camshafts, porting, polishing, stroke kits or big bore kits etc etc... very expensive. Unless you can find someone really good that will do it free on the labor part. (Not a back-yard mechanic either)

If you want to beat her buy a new quad, that will be the cheapest way to do it. That old 600 Grizz isn't going to be fast without SERIOUS help. New quad.
