today( realy it was yesterday) my boss brought his raptor in for repair.it was very simple the petcok only when on on not res and the mechanic that i replaces didnt put on the vacum tube that connects to the left carb(the original carbs went on fire and needed to be replaced).when i got on it i was shocked by how quick it go on grab bar just buy tapping the gas.when i got off it my legs would not stop shacking that never happened to me on my 300ex.now im putting a 350x motor in my 300 to sale it (cracked case leaks alot of oil and no one would buy it) and buy a banshee.now a new question comes up get a banshee or 660 raptor.the banshee is stock but the tires for $3000 if i could find a 660raptor for about the same price i would think about.i would lean more to the banshee because i love to drag race and the owner is a friend of my dads.

were i ride at theirs mostly drag racing and a little bit of jumpen. i stoped jumping when my 300 nosie dive into the ground and i sprained my wrist.the shee and raptor are the most commen their. in the drags their about even but i cant get a good look to see what mods they have (im always covered in dust lol).with people talking about polaris i think the sports quads are better then their utilities.i saw their pred 500 (with a pipe, rejeting, tires and a 289 lb rider) race a 660 raptor(with a pipe and a 190lb rider) the pred won by about half a quad.they both had a great run i think the tires and rejetting helped out.

The 660 is an excellent trail bike. Banshees are OK but some of the downsides are you have to mix oil & gas, and take spark plugs and a tool with you everywhere you go. And when it comes time to work on the engine, you have to buy 2 of everything, instead of just 1, which can get real costly......2 pipes, 2 carbs, 2 pistons, 2 cylinders, dual crank, 2 heads............

he is right about that it is hard to beat a 2-stroke in a drag race. i have a raptor 700 and was thinking about draging it out but i decided that im going to get a lt500 because i dont want to make my raptor un-duneable. the lt500 is way cheaper to make fast also.
