Default New Here and really need some help.

I have a honda recon and use it for transportation while hunting. The problem I am having is that the shocks max out when I put any substantial weight on the thing especially on the back. What i want to do is try and get a stiffer shock for the back, also probally a set for the front. If I could get a few more inches of lift that would be good also. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think highlifter makes a lift kit, but I believe it's a bracket to relocate the shocks and not a set of stiffer springs.

Maybe someone will chime in with a retrofit for parts for some other machine. Otherwise, if you've got the shocks bottomed out with the load, it might be time to consider a bigger machine, if that fits the budget.

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

I agree that you probably need to step up to a bigger machine. The little Recon is more of a recreational machine than it is a workhorse. Trouble is, when you overload a machine, it can start handling poorly.

I would say as much as possible, distribute the load between the front and back, so the back isn't taking it all.
