With a stock motor, Yamaha itself says the motor will run off 86 octane. 91 is already more than good enough. If its running good now you won't gain anything by running 93.

I have always ran 93 octane in everything I have owned and never had any problems related to gas.

it will never hurt your quad to run to high of a octane it hurts it when you run to low of a octane.

you can hurt performance if you run to high of octane gas as well. The burn time will be to long and peak cylinder pressure will be lengthed out cause you to lose power.

your right about loss of power jason but it wont damage. the lower the octane the quickier it ignites.

yeah, on the warrior it's got such low compression that you would never "damage" it runing 87.

If your manual says to run 87 octane, then use it! The higher the octane the slower the ignition of the burn. High octane is meant for high compression engines. If you were to use 87 octane in a high compression engine, you will experience pre ignition. If you use high octane 91-93 in a low compression engine, you will get a delayed combustion of fuel and it will leave deposits behind and mess up valve seating. And those are the hard facts.
