i have a 99 scrambler a the tranny went out and the 4x4 is bad and i don't want the 4x4 planning to take it off.So beings i am taking off the 4x4 will a tranny say off a trailblazer or any polaris 2 wheel drive bigger or smaller work.I don't see the use of going back with 4x4 tranny since i ain't going to use it.

There are many trannys that will fit. Find a doner from around that year just to make sure. You might find someone willing to trade with you as well.
