Default questions about air intake

alright, so i have an 07 grizzly 450 and i was wondering if i got a transmission snorkel kit from bayou snorkels, would that mean i couldnt go in water deeper than my gas tank, cause thats where the airbox intake is. and i see that some quads have an airbox and transmission intake snorkel kit. like the grizzly 660 for example, the airbox intake comes up between the seat and gas tank. so i was just wondering if what i think is right, the transmission snorkel will only allow me to go to the airbox intake in water. if thats true, then how can i make that airbox intake a snorkel as well. thanks for any input its greatly appreciated

take the end of the breather pipe and slip pvc pipe, put a clamp around it, and cut the pipe and use elbows to get it out from under the plastic then put enough pipe on so it's as tall as the other snorkle and put an elbow on top so water won't run down in the pipe,(seen it done on a honda 300 4X4. but it might work on your 450 grizz.
confused? sorry
