Trying to remove rear A-arm on 04 sp700 Help

I bent my A-arm on my 04 SP700 How do you get the lower front bolt out? It hits the axle. Do you remove the axle? Can you loosen the rear diff and raise it enough to get the bolt out? Anybody had this problem? Thanks

Motorworld, I replaced the lower left rear A-arm on my 04 700. I didn't experience what you are describing. 2 bolts at hub, and 2 bolts at the frame. Nothing was in way when I did this. Ridgerunner.com has new take off parts, might check their prices. Cheaper than what I paid dealer.

Motorworld-looked at my 800, think you are talking about the upper rear A-arm. I have not had one off, but see what you are talking about. They should've ran the bolt from other side. Would think someone on here has done this.

On my 700 the lower bolt is the one by the axle and you can't turn it around because it will hit the axle with the nut. The axle is that close that the nut won't fit in their only the thin bolt head. Their seams to be a lot of different designs of the rear end. My cv joint is by the differental with a large end where the boot attaches to and the bolt hits that piece. Can I pull out the axle from the differental without to many problems?

I just ran out the the shed to look at my 500 and now I know what you mean mine is the same... As far as pulling the axles some have used slide hammers because just tugging on them sometimes just doesn't cut it....

it isnt that hard to get the cv axle out if its not that old of a bike. you may have to pry a little as you pull. good snapping motins work on mine. good luck.
