TRX-90 oil change??
#1
I bought a 2001 used TRX-90 and it needs an oil change. What grade of oil should I use and how much does it hold?
There are two plugs on the bottom, any way to tell which is oil drain?
Thanks

Owner's manual says 0.7 qts. The drain bolt is on the right front side of the engine. It has a protective tab in front of it, so it is very easy to spot.
This engine doesn't have an oil filter. It does have a highly effective centrifugal oil cleaner...that probably is overdue to be cleaned (by someone with experience)! Do not neglect to do a valve adjustment as well!
As far as oil goes, pick a motorcycle specific oil that is API SG/JASO MA. I would suggest Maxima Premium or if you can't find that Honda's own GN4. Some great motorcycle oil advice: http://www.thumperfaq.com/oil.htm
In the frozen north, I would run 5W30 in winter and 10W40 in summer. In the milder southern states, 10W40 in winter and 20W50 for very hot summers.
