The first time my Raptor backfired (and it was loud!) was caught on tape by my wife. Thought it was kinda funny, so I made a video of it.

Let me know if anything is quarky with the site on your PCs. I made it on a Mac and sometimes the format change make things look funny.

I'll resave it as a QT 3.0 format (now it's a 4 or 5.0 format?).

If anyone else cann't hear it, let me know. The sound works on my end.

Thanks,
Bart

It's now a QT 3.0 format. For some reason it increased the size from 1.5 megs to 2.3 megs, so I apologize to those of you with a 'dial-up' connection.

If this made the sound work, let me know...

Everything worked fine for me
Let us know when you get your other video and pics up.
My only suggestion would be to make a larger version for those of us that aren't "Bandwidth Challenged"

Keep up the good work!

DuneJammer,

Good idea! I think I'll make another drop-down menu with a choice for a larger video or smaller video.

Thanks!!!

Also, I'm about ready to install the complete Big Gun exhaust and then I'll take it in and have it rejetted. When I get it back, I'll make a video of the Raptor idiling and rev'd up w/ the stock exhaust and then cut to the Big Gun exhaust. It should provide a good comparison (if you have decent speakers).

I have the Big Gun Slip on silencer for my Raptor and the thing is LOUD!!! There is no restrictions in the exhaust and is just straight threw so its gotta be loud. My buddy has 1 on his 400ex so i knew how loud it would be and ordered the spark arrestor and quiet core with it. Costs about an extra 80 bucks and changed the sound level very little. I can hardly hear a difference in the sound level change with the quiet core and s/a. I would not reccomend the big gun pipe unless you change all your glass windows to plexi-glass

I haven't looked at the video yet (waiting on a QuickTime download), but just wanted to thank you for your post. Flamers take notice, this is how the forums should work!

Hey bash,

Question on the Heel Guards you put on the Raptor, is there more room behind the foot peg? I'm a size 13 and my foot only fits half way on the stock guards. Thanks

Just from memory, it is about the same spacing. I was wondering if there will be room to go to a 22" tire since there isn't a lot of room in between the guard and the stock tires, hopefully they will.
Can anyone else verify this?
