time for new tires on Rubicon, what does everyone like
#1
So after getting at least one dent in every one of my rims due to the stock tires not haveing much protection I need to know what tire everyone likes, I am looking for a mid-agressive tire for both summer and winter that handles as good or better than the stockers. I ride in rock filled dusty trails in the summer and some nasty clay in the winter. Will running 26" tires get me more dirty?
Thanks, Joe

By looking at your pictures, that is what my driving trails look like.
So I am going to try the swamp lites from mudthrower.com they have free shipping too.
and 6 ply rating
but I am a newbie and asked about the swamp lites earlier today by the response they seem to be pretty good tires for the money.
I should have mine in 3-6 days.

I have, and love, the Swamplites I have. Great all-around tire. That being said, they don't protect the rim much better than stock. I believe some tires protect the rim. Maybe someone will chime in that has those tires.

I have never had a set of swamplites but I did have an 01 Rubicon with mudlites from itp on it. Those tires were great and pretty puncture proof. I have bought 3 sets of them since that time and have not had problems with denting the rims or punctures. I had all of them premounted on the c-series itp rims as well. Good luck and have fun riding.

I have Mud lites on my Kodiak nice aggressive tires that wear well. Discount tire on line has some Goodyear rawhide grip rts for a really good price I think they had 25/10/12 fro $25 a tire and the same price for the 25/8/12. I have these on my Rancher actually a good all around tire better than stock.

i seen the radial mud lites, a friend has a set on his 07' rubicon and it really destoryed my yard on tight turns- im looking at more of a all terrain better than stock performance tire with good ride quality during high speed fire road rideing (middle pict) and also good rim protection to large sharp rock

let me try to attach a phone video of this last springs ride where i was quite upset at my stock tires- maybe i need 2 sets of rims as i do enjoy dry high speed rideing as well as nasty wet oregon jungle stuff, it was the first video i took with the n-95 and I did not have it set to high quality 30 frames per second, but it shows some of the rideing i need tires for (large video file 18.2mb)

check out supergrip's superlight tire...basically the same as mud lites but have a rim guard and a littler harder rubber. i have been running them for a couple of months and really like them. Supergrip is a company that has been making industrial tires for a long time (front end loaders etc.)...Fairly new to atv tires - looks like they took the best selling atv tires and made them a little lighter and better. http://www.kgmotorcycletires.c...er_grip_super_lite.htm
