Dumont BIG hill Videos GSXR1000

This was Bigdaddys first day out and we went to the big hill at Dumont.
Bigdaddy didnt have much seat time and he also had a fuel issue on a few runs where he was riding with his hands in the air it was apparent that it was bogging at 7k rpm some type of vapor lock fuel/pump delivery issue. His bike is SICK SICK SICK fast and the top end has uncontrolable power that left us shaking after some high rpm testing.lol. Whatever he did with the pipe and or set-up on the motor itself he did great! Mike has some more plans and tuning and that bike is gonna be a hard conversion to beat! I think he has me beat good but I am gonna change a few things ad we will further test.
I think we were hitting upwards near 75+MPH. Bigdaddy might have been pulling high mph up top. He was comming on real strong on top and the BLACK bus could only fend him off or be near him by spraying a healthy shot of nos. We had micro switch problems on the nos 730. The button worked fine after Mike chased down the prob. His bike is sick and I dont think the vids do it justice as to how fast these two bikes are going up top.
Mike could only launch at a low rpm he needs a longer arm.
There are other vids that are gonna be added that show mikes bike RIPPING it up and moppin up.
This is not a pissin match we are a crew and these were test and tune on both bikes. Were are on the same team so just wanted to make this clear this is testing new stuff and his maiden voyage on the conversion thats a work of art.
Disclaimer- I admit I mind melted him off the line. He was trying to get a good jump on me but I knew I would get smoked.LMAO!
Enjoy the vids fellas I had my cousin make a video page.

The longer arm looks like it is definitely needed. He didn't seem to be able to hammer it off the line.
He didn't seem to have much of a problem once he got off the line.
He's gonna have a lot of fun on it this season.

It was a GREAT day of testing and tuning. Yea, had a few issues on fuel vent lines, but they should be quickly fixed. No big deal at all really and it's was stupid of me to think that what I had was going to work. The swing arm is only a +8 (ONLY!) and it works nicely. The front end does want to come up pretty easy. I'm thinking that a +9 or +10 would have been ideal, but then again It was my first real test of the bike. I'm sure I'll get much better as time goes on. I was only lauching at about 5 - 7k and I know that Bud's son launches at around 12K.
The Ninja really taught me some things at the start. I tried to be JONNY ON THE SPOT with the starts but he wasn't letting that happen. Definitely got school'd off the line!
To give it a little more perspective on how fast the Black Bus really is and how we've got Mario's bike pumpin'.... The rails almost outnumbered the quads and there was one rail that was monkey-stomping all the other rails. IT was an LS1 4 seater completely tricked out and flying up the hill. He actually came looking for me at the hill and wanted to race. This was when I was having a fuel issue and I declined. The fuel issue would let my bike get over 9 - 10k Figured the issue out within ten minutes. Talked to the guy and we set if up for 10 minutes later. Race time came and we lined up. He got me out of the whole (of course), and then the race was on. By half hill I was past him pretty good and by the end of the hill I had beat him by about 4-5 buggy lengths. He begged for it a couple more times and the same result over and over. Thats how fast these bike were moving.
Hope that give you some perspective.
A great day all in all and I'll see some of you on the Halloween weekend.

Looks like I forgot to log out last night.
Brian Id have to say we were around 75mph+
MIKE- JOHNNY ON THE SPOT..LOL.. MAN!!! You were trying to clown me off the line!!
It was a fun time and both bikes haul. Mikes bike willl come off the line hard.
I admit the DS AND the DSXR were comming off the line like snails but gaining speed on the hill by hp. was only test and tuneing. We only line both bikes up cause there were no other comp. But There will be no better way to get faSTER than dialing in against a conversion to get ready for THE BIG thumper RACE Dec. 8th at Dumont.

I've had a couple of emails wondering how a Single Cylinder could be that fast compared to a conversion... I'll answer that here for everyone to see.
It's simply a matter of HP to Weight ratios...
The Black Bus:
330lbs
78hp
30 shot of NOS Via BoonDocker Custom-made system
215lb Pilot
= 1hp per 5.04lbs
BigDaddy Conversion:
500lbs
145hp
227lb Pilot
= 1hp per 5.01lbs
As you can see the bikes are extremely well matched. Mario is exactly right when he talks about tuning in his bike for the next race. We are able to pin point exactly what his bike is able to do or IS DOING based on the conversion bike. The reason why is because the conversion will run each and every run the same. It's NOT set to kill and runs on 91 octane. it NEVER gets/got above 210*F... it just runs.
That is the major difference between the bikes. The Conversion is a full weight duner that has full suspension and runs on pump gas. The Black Bus is a stream-lined racer that has been cut down to do one thing and one thing only... rip apart everything similar in a drag race. It runs on 110 - 112 octane at $12 per gallon. The scary thing here is that the Black Bus can even go lighter, and it's going to be lighter. The frame can be further refined shedding another 5lbs, a steering stem can knock off another 5lbs, a racing aluminum fuel tank can knock off another 8lbs.... see where I'm going with this???
Now to get the motor that Mario has, outright... it will cost you about $10,000. Then to get it to stay together takes a LOT of work.... Just ask me!!!! The conversion, well... how long do you think it would take a guy to get 80,000 miles of duning on it???
Now, I need to get a few more hours on it and it goes on the auction block! Man, a lot of work only to sell it.

Mike- Also take into consideration the rotating mass between the two bikes. Your pushing about 35 more lb than my bike on rotating. You can dune hard and jump your bike all day. Mine cant. So the rotating mass is helping the black bus as well. I felt the top end of your bike and it is scary. I know what your bike will do if you launched at 11k. We both left ALOT on the table at launch.
I personally have never felt any top end on ANYTHING like I did at 10k in 1st, 2nd or 3rd on a quad except for yours so far.
within the week I will be slapping a TI axle on the black bus and some custom steel tie rods and a heavy duty 520 streetbike chain to handle the paddle. I need to run the rippers on the hill I think. And a longer arm.
Mike is the man!
I dont think many singles could hang with the BD1000cc and I know he has more presents up his sleeve. We were just having some fun! Thanks to our vidoe shirp we can now watch and study videos. Both bikes have WAY more in them.

Not to hijack your thread Mario, or Mike, but this question might get some play right here... What is the deal with 4SW or 4SCS? Is it defunct, in limbo, what? Always had a Hella time for MLK or Pres weekend but haven't heard jack about it since Dumont back in Jan. Might anyone know the answer to this question???
Lookin' forward to some dune trips here shortly but would like to plan ahead for some of the big DS gatherings. Let a Gigilo know.
