Default 400EX Axle search??

Just bought a 2003 400EX with the knowledge that the rear carrier bearing was pretty much shot. I am buying a new carrier and all the bearings/seals and spacer, but I would like to replace the axle due to the sealing surface on the brake rotor hub being worn off because of the trashed carrier. I am not able to find anything but racing axles. I am older and don't plan on getting to crazy. Just a bunch of older guys having a good time without the wives. Does anyone have any suggestion on where to pick up a stock axle for a good price?

Thanks....RJ0602

Default 400EX Axle search??

Try eBay for used stock axles, but don't count out a good aftermarket, there is nothing wrong with a stronger, wider axle, it will make your quad more stable, and will let you corner faster, and steadier, without the wheel lifting if you get too fast. Heck, I'm 46, and my son calls me crazy when we ride, I jumped on his 300ex, and let him ride my 440 big bore 400ex, and I still spanked him in the corners !!! A wider rear axle on the 400 would have let him control it better, I'm sure, or maybe I'm just that awsome of a rider !!!
