hey fellas , I am also looking into the new tires deal. My choices are the mudlight xtr, carlisle badlands, and big horns, and terra cross, My riding is in the mtns of NC, WVa, and Va. rocky gravel, some average mud, wet farmland ect, and almost no sandy riding. what is the milage yall are gettin outta your aftermarket tires and most versitle handling. I dont relaly care about riding in the snow. Usally i am hunting or inside when its tht cold. oh yea rinning the bf 750. stock

A friend of mine in WV runs bighorns and i think he told me he can get over 8,000 miles on a set maybe more, I do know that he put 12,000 miles on his first Rincon and would imagine he did'nt get more than 6 or 7 hundred on the stocks, considering the amound of pavement he runs. Traction wise I think they would be perfect for what you described. They are also probably the toughest as far as cuts and punctures go. Needless to say I took all of this into account and just put a set on my Rubicon.

I pay $55. per set on my 650 prarie 4x4. I have Kenda Bear Claws original height but 12.5 in. wide in rear. Size and height remain the same. I get about 1800mi. or so from mine. I like the tread design and wear. I use the tires on my quad for pulling trees to where I can reach them for sawing (wood burner). I only do that when I can't find a tree to get behind for leverage to use the winch. And I haven't burnt the belt up with these tires either. I had a set of Swamp Witch mud slingers on my quad within the 1st 100mi and I burnt the belt up. I use my quad for work, play and ocassionally pulling contests. $ 210. a set and I replace the front tires every other time I replace the rear. Not bad huh. My tire size is 25x8x12 front and 25x12.5x12 rear

I had 1500 miles of hard riding on my GBC Dirt Tamers and they still had 80% tread on them, so they could have went alot longer....i know have Bighorns on my new 08 Brute, I would guess I would go about 3 - 4000 miles on them before i would replace them, not that they would be completely worn, but they wouldn't work like they would when new

you guys must never actually work "and" play w/ your tires. Because with the mileage I get, they don't last too long. I use my quad for hauling (up to) 3k pounds on pavment, rocks, gravel, dirt, sloppy mud and steep hills. Not to mention a little horse play when showing off, I mean that as doing burn outs on dry pavement not to mention making hard turn on pavement which is hard on the tires especially w/ live axles such as mine. You guy can say all you want about getting 3-4000 mi. on your tires as much as you want but as much as I use my quad, I know it's much too impossible.

Yhe bear claws I have aren't bumpy at all. But then again, I've never really rode on pavement for any long perion of time. Plus, with as much tire wear as I've encountered, I try not to make any hard turns on the pavement.
