Default 96 Xplorer 400 Questions re: Value

I have a chance to buy a 96 Xplorer for what might be a reasonable price. It comes with a V plow, has approx 6,000miles on it & is the original owner.

I'm curious what a machine like this would be worth?

Also, how are they for pushing snow? I'm more or less looking for one to push snow & pull a trail mower. Not really into mudding or abusing.

First you have to realize this is a 2stroke and when you buy a used 2stroke figure on a new piston, rings and bore job.
This does have the old 3 chain drive system and needs adjustment regularly and can be expensive when ALL 3 need replaced.
This will do any chore you put at it.It has as much power (when tuned right) as any of the big new atvs.
Price wise I wouldnt go any thing over $900 then by the time you fix it you will have less than $2000 in it.

Appreciate the info...

I guess my one concern was slow speed driveability, since I'd like to be using it to mow my one acre lot with a pull behind finish mower.

I do believe the engine has been rebuilt, I'll have to confirm and run a compression check.

when I had my xplorer 400, I had 3080 miles on it and spent $750 on carb rebuild, new pistion and it to be bored out.

otherwise it was a great machine. I sold it for $1600, since I just wanted to get rid of it and buy a new one.
