I Have pro tapers on my raptor with the factory black plastic key holder on them. I THINK IT'S UGLY! I don't really want to cut holes in the radiator cover for the key. Can I eliminate it? Would it burn up anything being wired hot? I was thinking of putting the neutral, temp and reverse lights on the little cover on the gas tank...

Im not sure about a Raptor, cause it has a battery. I guess it would always be "on" if you hotwired it causeing the battery to die. I hotwired my banshee, but that doesnt have a battery. If you can, i would just relocate it...if you do a good job of cutting the plastic, it should look great. Just be careful.

I put a hidden toggle switch on my raptor to get rid of the key switch and put the idicator lights on the radiator hood. it looks sweet. i dont have any pics of it yet but it is easy to do. The switch i mounted under the first luver of the hood on the left side. i had to extend the wiring a little bit since it wasnt quite long enough. the part i mounted the switch to is the small flange under the hood. any questions feel free to ask.

I remounted my qauges and key elsewhere. The gauges are in the rad cover up top where its in shape of a triangle and I put my key over on the right where the plastic curves around by the handlebars. I think it turned out real good and looks alot better than stock, I am not sure about eliminating key I'm sure you can I just dont have any expierance with it.

You could splice the wires together and it would not run the battery down unless you left the lights on, if there is no draw on the battery it wont drain it, oh yeah, u might have to disconnect the neutral, reverse, and low oil lights
