I have an older youth 4 wheeler. Moto 4 80cc. I was wanting to change the engine oil but I do not know what kind?
What type of oil and how much?
What about the trans? what kind and how much?

The oil I use in mine is just the yamalube from the dealership. The trans is lubed with the same oil at the same time so no need to worry about it. I believe it took between 1 and 2 qts the last time i did mine. Just put oil in until it is between the hatch marks on the dipstick and then start it and run for about 30 seconds shut it off and check it again. Top up if you need to.

 

I was told 20-40 or 20-50 does that sound about right?

Yhea i think so, the old yamalube was 20w40 and the new yamalube is 10w40
