Predator 50 problem

Predator 50 problem
[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/img]I have a friends Predator 50 which will only run with with the choke competly on.Put the choke off and it coughs and shuts off...Checked the jets and they seem to be open...Any suggestions???????
