Default Anyone have HID Lights on their Quad?

I just bought an HID spot light off of SAMS' auction site for $39 and it's so bright, it hurts my eyes to look at the spot where I'm shining it. I'm wondering if anybody has tried putting HID's on their quad yet. I found some off of ebay for $50/pr.

If they are that bright there might be to much wattage for your charging system to handle them , but i have 2006 Arctic Cat 400 Fis 4x4 Auto and my brother has a 2004 Honda TRX 350 FM Rancher 4x4 and both our quad's headlight's are to dim to drive at night ; my brother doesn't mind the fact that his light's are so weak because he doesn't like to ride at night ! But i love to ride at night myself , infact i like to ride at night better than the daytime in the summer because of the heat and insect's that are bad in the daytime in summer ; but i can't get any of my brother's or friend's that have ATV's to go riding at night anymore ! I'm going to find better headlight's to put on my Cat i have a set of driving light's that people put on the car's and truck's i'm going to mount them on my AC because the factory light's are dimmer that a couple of flash light's my old 1986 Honda TRX350 Foreman 4x4 had just one headlight mounted to the handle bar's ad it was brighter than the 2 light's on the AC and my old 1993 Suzuki LTF4WD 300 King Quad had brighter light's on dim than the AC and good luck with your light's ! ............

Default Anyone have HID Lights on their Quad?

The headlights on my Kawi are bright enough for night time use. They're 45 watts each Hi & low. I just want that extra umph! My back-up lights seem to be brighter than the headlights and they're only 35 watts each ( 3"x5"). The HID's I'm wanting to put on are only 35 watts each and come with their own bulbs, ballasts & wiring harnesses, ($ 50./pr.). I just got through taking my headlight bulbs out and they're H4 bulbs. I looked at KC-Hi lites website and they're wanting over $ 1000. for the same pair that they have on ebay for Rhino's. I'me still trying to get ahold of the guy on ebay to see if he has HID's for my Kawi or see if the HID's are interchangable from the Rhino to my Kawi. I might just get new bulbs for my quad to see if they're any brighter. I could also just mount my HID spotlight on the front of the quad but that's only good for about an hour.
