Default 96 400 sportsman cooling question

I was replacing the front headlight bulb and seen a hose that was not attached to anything so i followed it down and it attaches to the cooling fan motor. Should this be attached to something? Also could someone tell me what the two switches on each side of the headlight are they are marked h off L?

The hose is just for venting the fan motor. The switches if they are mounted on the headlight plastic may be for a winch or for grip heaters and/or thumbwarmer.

The hose going to the fan is to oil the fan.Use a little 3in1 in it every now and then
