have a 2002 polaris sportsman 700, will run for a while then backfire and quit. idles and revs okay then stalls and quits. sometimes starts and sometimes doesn't start at all. went through carbs and fuel system, seems all okay. Any ideas??

 

broken spark plugs?

 

Check the etc, electronic throttle control, throttle cable should have very little slack, adjust it 4" from thumb throttle.

 

I have a 2002 sp 700. The spark plug boots broke on both of them at different times. So when you would be driving it the plug would loose conection, run on one, and then quit. I replaced it with a new one and them the other side did the same thing. Just an idea for you to try.
