This might sound stuid, but, how would i make my atv sound louder if the baffle is welded to the can? (without buying a new pipe)

 

i wanted to make mine louder but i didnt want to hurt performance or get popping. but im pretty sure you would have to cut open the can and take some baffle out then weld it back together.

 

sounds good. What if i drill holes in the can? if i can do that, where?

 

yep hes right. Or just take a big screwdriver and punch it out. I would save your money and do it right. I dont know what the point of making it louder is, I would rather have more power with a side effect of more noise, noise for the sake of noise doenst really make sense to me though.

what do you mean by "punch it out"?

 

i guess you could drill some holes and if you dont like it you could always put screws in the holes and plug it back up.

 

just shove the screwdriver through the spark arrestor to "open it up a little"
FYI this will make it illegal for forestry inspection. which means you are not supossed to ride on public lands where the forestry is concerned. or you might possibly be able to find a larger opening exhaust tip
