Hayashi

highwaydan posted this message the other day and I told him that you'd be able to help him since he and I have the same year, make and model quad and every Q I've ever had about mine you always gave me the right answer or gave me the variables to decide on.

- I replaced the front cv boot on my 650 and when I did I serviced the CV joint and reinstalled and when I put the tires back on it and let if off the jack the CV joint pops out of the gear box about a 1/2 inch and will not stay engaged. I disassembled and reassembled 2 times putting new C clips on the end of CV shaft before installing. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what can I do to fix this. I need some help with this. -

highwaydan,
I have not experienced your problem even though I've installed cv axle several times on front diff gear box of P650/700. You should hear a clicking sound or at least feel bottoming out when pushing in the inboard spline end of the cv axle into the gear box. Are both sides having this problem?
