Default '99 Yamaha Kodiak 400 Problems....HELP!!

Just got a 'Yammy 400... she's idling really ruff... drained the Fuel.. put new stuff in with some Carb cleaner... threw in a new spark plug... checkt the air filter... starts with full choke... half choke pretty much dies.. no choke pretty much dies too.. when applying throttle.. sounds to me like its flooding out.. just bogs right out.. what can i check? ... tried running it with the air filter off... and choking it out withmy hand... got some gas on myself.. is that normal? Any Ideas what I can check myself or do myself or rip the carb apart .. or just take it in a pay some shmuck to check it? Thanks for any info.

You need to clean he carburetor. That gas additive does not cut dirt, only varnish, so take the carb apart and make sure all of the jets are completely clean.
