adc on 2007 500EFI Deluxe?
#1
It says on the polaris websight that the 2007 500efi deluxe is equipped with adc but there is no switch on the handle bar like my 2008 500 efi 2-up. Is the 07 just built in and the 2008 has a switch to turn it on and off?

Ok now i had 800efi 700 efi and my last 500 had ebs but not the new adc .Is there that much of a difference i would not know yet because i do not have any hills around here. We are headed to h/ m system this coming weekend and im sure it will show then .

I pretty much agree with Scrammytodd about having it engaged when going down steep terrain with a few exceptions. I have a 07 which my son flipped end for end on a steep fire trail right after the cat had cut it. It was really tore up and I had gone down first on my 96 and the rear lifted a little and when he reached the same spot with the ADC engaged it would not let the front roll off and it flipped. There were no injuries except for his pride and his wallet. There are times you just need to play with the brake.
Having the ability to turn the ADC off like on the 08's but yet remain in 4 WD is a real plus in my opinion. Having got use to the ADC I would not be without it.

With EBS If you are going down a really steep hill the rear tires will slide and if you use the brakes the rear will slide more, you have to use the throttle and go faster to keep under control. ONly 2wd going down hills!
With ADC the front and rear tires will hold you back without sliding or using the brakes, you will usually come to a stop on the steepest hills, you will actually have to use throttle to keep moving. 4wd going down!
The nice thing with Polaris 4wd is that the ADC will work automatically as you descent the hill, only the front tires are locked when you need it and unlock when you don't. This makes for very easy steering with AWD and ADC.
I can't think of any reason you would want to turn it off! I think they just added it 08 switch to make people think they got something.
Open your front box, remove the rubber access cover and check the ADC fluid resevoir, it looks like a brake fluid resevoir, use ADC fluid only!

The adc on th 07's only works when four wheel drive is activated and throttle is released..Turn four wheel drive off and you have no adc..Check you owners manual..Four wheel drive switch must be on...Under 15 miles per hour and throttle released...

Yeah no one really understands how good it works till they use it.
Yes Polaris are rear wheel drive untill they spin and then the fronts kick in untill 4wd isnt needed and automatically kick out. EBS is just the rear wheels and ADC is the front wheels.
