Default So i get hit up on another saftey issue/ VIDEO NOW INCLUDED

Alright so last night i went quadding with a buddy of mine and my woman...she gets in the x2 i get on and we start ridding...were doing a night run its 5pm...and were planning on going to say midnight...so anyways about an hour in i see this wicket hill and i mean it looks pretty steep so i put her in low awd and hammer on errr well i get half way up and all of a sudden there's a huge bang and i can tell it was somewhere behind like in the dump box area and then the woman screams...and i mean like a scary im going to die scream..i was fast on my feet and slammed it in reverse causing the opisite motion...The friggin saftey switch gave out (on the box) and tilted backwards sending her backwards and then causing the front of the quad to go straight up and down...

We get to the bottom of the hill going friggin backwards which was a terrible thing..(i never want to do that again) and i kick her off and im looking around the quad and i can't find the problem...it was pitch black and a flashlight didn't help.

I noticed there was serious play in the box when i lifted on it but only on one side and the little swaybar has come out of the box abit...so i double check everything and make sure it is safe.

she's freaking out not wanting to get on...but she did...

We head home:

So this morning the quad is dirty and i clean it and sure enough i notice a good junk of plastic missing right where the release pin is..(where you pull to open the box) I will post pictures soon...

It was a very close call and condsidering the backseat still has issuies after going to polaris i mean they have to get this shi% fixed right. It could kill someone.

I have acouple questions to other x2 owners...but i will ask with pictures later on tonight..as its midnight already

Im going to take pictures in 5 mins.

Man O Man..... I cannot confirm on the release of the dump box with the passenger seat up since my quad is not at my house. I do know it take a lot of effort to release the lever.

Here is my question....

Why are you riding passengers when you know you already have a seat issue? Don't jeopardize a passenger. Get that quad back to the dealer for repair before someone gets hurt!!

I'm glad to hear you and her are okay though, that is the most
important thing!

Man, that is messed up so what do you believe happened? With the hill
so steep do you think it was the force pressure against the seat box
on the verticle? I would think that box would be rock solid withstanding
all these pressures since it can handle the weight of up to 400 pounds.

I don't think Its so much that it can handle 400lbs ..its the raddling down the trail that causes the box to lift after time.

As far as the back seat falling down polaris has fixed it once...ha ha ha they didn't but say they did .....so i have a bungie cord keeping the seat from falling down which is tied down to the hitch.

I have never seen this before on any forums...any help that the samething has happened would be great.

Hey 2blue. With all the crap that has surrounded you, I think you should post your riding schedule on the forum. That way, when I drive through the Crow, I can check to see if you're out riding and if you are, I'll put the pedal down and get the hell out of the area! LOL, LOL.
