Default Helmet Cams

Okay I am asking those video camera geeks out
there for your best advice on those Helmet Cams!

Yes I would feel a little dorky wearing one, LOL BUT
if it keeps both hands on the bars for safety and
leaves Mamma's camera alone she just may add one
to my Christmas wish list this year!

Product/Model name, any tech specs you have and
most importantly PRICE! (Yes, I have my funding
threshold for these gadgets) and where to buy it
from.

Regards,

R'

i was thinking something more ghetto for myself. i want to rig something to a cheap helmet that will mount my mini-dv camera securely. i was thinking i would have to use epoxy to attach the mount to the helmet. I might need a spotter to see my [rec] light! haha

any lower end suggestions/photos?

i am looking for ideas also.

I have been looking on some sites. You can go to any search engine and put in Helmet Cams. Your looking at least $200.00 plus for a good one.

Cool, thanks for the responses I really want those who have tried these products to weigh
in cuz I for one, don't want to guinea pig test these gadgets. I will check out the links.

I'm more curious about what to use for storing the video. Digital camcorder, or what?? It sure seems pricey everytime I think about it. But everytime something cool happens, it's always just as I turn my head around in the middle of a corner and theres no time to blink let alone dig out the cameras LOL

EXACTLY ST!

Thats why I thought it would be a nice to have and I for one, don't want to
mess with lens covers, pause buttons, dropsies etc. and missed opportunities..

Okay anyone know of the on-line Blue bird specials on this item today?
My wife may even get one for me if the price is right!

Need more posters who have them or used them, please please contribute
your input. Make/Model, on-line company, price, and thanks for the help!

http://www.twenty20camera.com/product_specs.php Is the cam my local distributer has, but I don't know much about it. It looks pretty cool, but as far as what to use for a camcorder is the tough part for me. A digital camcorder is a pile of money, and I would like to have one waterproof If you get lucky this X-mas let us know what you get, how it works and what you would change about it.
