Default Bayou 250 Mixture Setting

I have a Bayou 250 that runs great at lower elevation (1500 ft) here in Phoenix, but where I ride it is closer to 6000 ft. I am pretty sure that the bike is running rich.

I have searched and I cannot find a definitave answer on how to lean this out.

I have looked over the Carb and where I believe the the mixture screw is (bottom of the carb close to the engine inlet) there is a brass plug thing.

Do I need to remove this to adjust the carb, if I do, how.

Am I right in assuming that once I can get to the mixture adjusting screw I need to turn this in to lean the fuel mixture.

Thanks for your help.

Martin
