Default I can kill my lt80 with one finger

I think this has to do with compression. with it idling I can put my finger over the exhaust and the motor dies. thats not good is it? I know I kill the motor on my rc car but a 80cc two stroke? does that mean the motor is tired? also having problem starting it wount start cold unless I hook up to charger and bost. when warm starts right up

HELP

How long ya' holdin 'your finger on it. If you press hard and long enough, you can kill any motor.

maybe a 1 sec just put your finger up against it and it dies. I used a piece of paper and covered and it killed it!!!!! not much pressure at all. could this be the problem with hard starts?

WTF? I thought we figured out it was a compression problem in the other thread.

I wasn't sure if that was a compression problem or another problem. Since it is a compression problem it will be fixed.

Run a compression test... @ or below 100 Lbs and it's probably due for a top end overhaul...

I took it down the road 1/4 mile. and it was running worse and worse. I will be getting parts tomarrow or next day. so tonight I tore down. walls have no goudges. went to clean off with air and got sprayed with gas from crankcase. about 1/2 cup sitting on bottom of crankcase. my ? is . with very low compression was there just not enough pressure to push gas through. making it flood out????

This comes from fuel leaking by the float needle. Usually a good carb cleaning with detail on removing the seat and cleaning works.
The petcock positon may enter into this. On is off when the motor is not running (no vaccum to open the petcock). On prime, fuel flows continuous.
Is the piston sloppy (side to side play)?

not sloppy at all. piston with rings slip right into sleave with out a compresser or fighting with. looks as if the rings are the problem. any way got new top end kits on order and will be here friday. rod has normal slop side to side but no up and down play.
