Yea I can see putting a few Taliban and Al Qaedi (Sp?) prisoners and confiscated small arms
in the back.

Cool. Maybe Instagater can get one and rejoin the ranks of Polaris owners. Any servicemen who know what JP8 is??? I thought it was a gasoline without all the additives our gas gets.

nope JP8 is a diesel that the jets and helicopters ,and diesel engines can burn ,
really cleans the fuel system out though ,
when we hit kuwait we went through severel filters on every vehical,
it doesn't have as much lubrication to it so drivers were just dumping in regular oil to mix with it .to lubricate the injector pumps .

JP8 is a multipurpose, kerosene-based jet fuel replacing JP4. Besides aircraft it apparently is also used as fuel for things ranging from cook stoves to tanks according to the Wikipedia Info on JP8.

Thanks for the info, Deanz. Thanks for serving too! I appreciate all the military is trying to do to search out and bring to justice the terrorists that would harm innocent lives. I left on a trip with my wife, 2 kids, and 25 friends down to Florida on Sept. 11, 2001. We flew out of Boston's Logan Airport that morning and were leaving around the time the last 2 terrorists were arriving. We stopped at Baltimore and took off about 8:30 and saw the stewardess' called up front around 9am. We didn't learn what had happened until we landed in Orlando, Florida at about 9:30 or so. Long story short, we were shocked and kind of numb the whole time we were in Florida and when we returned the following Tuesday. (1st day Logan was open after the attack). I know of many people that either died on a jet or at the WTC. To the military, I say, happy hunting. It sounds pretty brutal, but it is the only thing the terrorists understand as a group.

That is a great way to do things. I remember reading or hearing about the Sherman tanks in WWII having gasoline engines and how easily they would ignite and blow up because of the gasoline.
