Keeping It Warm
#1
Hi, Went out riding the other day to go hunting and it was about 10 degrees out. Parked the SP700 (2005) and left it run for about an hour while I was hunting. Came back and the temp gauge was way down to 135 Degrees and the oil was cold (engine still running). However it was windy and snow was drifting on it.....Hoping it would stay warmed up so I could just leave when I came back. guess not. Just thought I would mension it.

i dont think that it hurts to idle, i have been told though, that if they idle for very long periods, they have a tendency to foul plugs. now that was from a guy that owns a 2000 500 so maybe the new ones dont
