Default IS there a better chain guard/guide?

98 explorer 400...Doesn't happen often (2 times in the last year)but often enough, my chain will pop out of the guard and cause the chain to come loose. Happened yesterday when I was plowing. Is there an afrermarket that has a tensioner or will a new stock one help, mine is a little beat up maybe causing the chain to come out?

As far as having the chain tight enough, it is, I compress my rear shock/bottom it out and the chain is nice and tight but does seem loose when when not compressed. I will add...I replaced the medium brown spring for the heavy black which did raise my machine about an inch. I hate to tighten the chain much more as it is tight when compressed. Any help is much appreciated!

You cut the tad for the chain guide off and do away with the guide
