I have a 1999 Sportsman 500. I need a new flywheel, the one on it now has FF97 stamped on it. Will all FF97 flywheels work on my 1999? What does the FF97 stand for? I have checked the parts websites and they almost always list different part numbers for different year models, I wonder if this is a marketing scheme? My flywheel has 4 magnets (two came loose), I have seen FF97 flywheels with only one solid magnet, would this solid magnet flywheel work in place of the one with 4 magnets?
