sportsman clutch removal

Default sportsman clutch removal

How can I remove the clutch spider from a Sportsman,I have the outer part off,it looks like it is screwed on?

You will need a special tool..the spider screws off ..polaris part nu#2870341.. I got mine from EPI

Hi, great!! Found one on Ebay. Does the spider come off counterclockwise and how do I keep the engine from turning using the tool, impact wrench? Thanks

you dont take apart your clucth on the bike. it had to be off so it can be held in place. that is a nice little video for sure.

you can use a 11 mm deepwell socket so you can use a shorter fine thread bolt. to remove the clucth.

you do not have to take the clucth off to do them.

Actually the spider is cracked and it knocks bad so it has to be changed. I have a identical atv for parts.The video was great,so actually I need a puller to make the swap
