Help with starting problem 200cc loncin
#1
Have a zmc 200r was running great then all of a sudden it died and it did strart again but not very well. i thpught maybe it was low on gas so i drove it to the driveway and as soon as i let off the throttle it dies again and now its a no start. i have some experience with these things and have checked for fuel and spark both are good. I even changed out the carb but still nothing. Anyone have any ideas??? I have checked all the electrical connections cant to seem to find anything. I have had these problems before but its almost always a wiring or kill switch issue. But i have spark it seems. HELP

I would change the spark plug to start with to see if that solves your problem. I have had plugs that would spark, but the spark was too weak to light off the engine. It would be a cheap test before moving on to replacing bigger and more expensive parts. Something else that is common among the Chinese quads is the gas tank vent in the gas cap gets blocked and the running engine sucks a vacuum in the fuel tank causing the engine to eventually starve for fuel. If you have an in-line fuel filter, it may also be blocked.
The vent problem usually presents itself as you're riding the quad around for awhile and all of a sudden, the quad bogs out and dies. When this happens, immediately remove the gas cap and listen for air sucking back into the tank. After removing and replacing the cap, try to restart the quad. If it restarts and you are able to ride around for awhile before it bogs out again, then you can reasonably suspect that the vent is not working properly.

No problems on Gas or Spark. How's the Compression? I would turn the crank shaft by hand to check if the valves work properly to provide sufficient compression. Because I had have a bunt and melt ex-valve problem in this summer. My bike showed a quite similar phenomenon at that time. Text

I agree check the compression.
check the petcock for fuel flow, also make sure the carb is getting fuel by loosening the drain bolt on the float bowl.
The only other thing i can think of off the top of my head is a timing issue either cam timing or ignition timing.
