Default can't figure out the electrical hookup for hand warmers on 2003 suzuki vinson

I bought some hand warmers for my 2003 suzuki vinson500, and can't figure out which wires to hook into. I have everything located underneath my display case. It's telling me to hook into my aux, or headlight switch. Can anyone tell me which color of wire to tap into?? My aux doesn't work so I don't think I can go into that one. I'm a pipefitter, not an electrician!!!!!! thanks

Black to ground and any 12 volt supply with the key on will work..........you can check with a multi-meter.

You want to find a wire that will cut the 12 volts off when the key is off so the handwarmers will not kill the battery when the Quad is turned off!!........Caper..........

Hey Thanks Caper!!! I actually tapped into my high/low beam switch for the warmers. I only had the one light and wasn't using the switch, so now I have an on/off switch for them. It actually worked out really great! It was nice quadding in the snow and taking a break while everyone had their hands behind the exhaust pipe trying to keep warm, while I had to turn my grip warmers down cause my hands were getting too hot!!!! Good times!
