Default 2005 Prairie 700

I need help......I have a 2005 Prairie 700...the trans has just been rebuilt because of a mud bog incident, but the engine still ran perfect...
but, to rebuild the trans, they had to split the case, so, the engine had to be disassembled too....now, at slower speeds, 15-20 mph, the engine starts to surge real bad, then if you press the throttle to go faster, it falls flat on it's face and you can hear it through the air box, you then have to stab the throttle to get it to go....it doesn't seem to do it when it's cold, just when it's warmed up good....The dealer can't find it and I'm getting frustrated

check the carb boots that go from the carbs to the engine. they mite have a big tear in one or both of them. has it done this ever since u got it back from the dealer?

check the boots that go from the carbs to the engine. they mite have a tear in them. that would make the motor run really lean then u have to smash the throttle and put more fuel in the to compinsate for the extra air. has it been doing htat ever sence u got it back from the dealer

sounds like it mite be a lean condition also. drive the bike and when it starts to do it start turning the choke on and see it the condition improves.

It is fuel-rich condition if the problem goes away when it is cold. It could as simple as kink in the choke cable routing when dealer put it back, causing the choke plunger to hang it open (allowing extra fuel in) even though choke lever is at OFF position. I would check to make sure the choke plungers (2) are completely closing when the choke lever is at OFF position.
