Default Prairie 400

Hi,
My y2k prairie 400 has started dumping fuel after usage from the hose that connects to the bottom of the float bowl (at least thats where it looks to be going).

Not sure if it drains during usage, but it comes out pretty good after I shut her down. shutting off the supply stops it from leaking when parked obviously. If it is draining during use i'm afraid of a fire as I use the machine to plow and could generate sparks from the blade, not to mention all the other fire hazards.

Any tips as to why this may suddenly start to happen? Is there a valve or screw that may have loosened? It's tricky to get in there so I'd like to have some ideas before pullig the skin. I've never had to work on the carb before so it's pretty much untouched.

Thanks for you help!

Y'oull need a rebuild kit. The reason that this happening is the, don't remember what it's called(pintle stop?) is not sealing off the passage when the bowl is full. I've lost a tank of gas on the garage floor over nite like ths. You;ll see the part i'm referring to in the kit- it attaches to the float so when the bowl is full no mor gas comes thru.................

I think it is just called a needle valve.. no?
darn... couldnt just be a simple loose valve... It's been snowing every other day here lately too... lol

I almost lost a full tank of gas on the floor over night as well.. it drains fast!

Thanks for the advise.
