Blaster takes foeever to start!!!!

I have a '99 blaster and when it is cold out ti takes forever to start. And sometimes it won't even start.

Kyle,

1.) Turn the Gas On. LOL
2.) Use the Choke. LOL
3.) Turn the Engine on. LOL

Just making sure bud.

Are you running a BR8ES or a B8ES? I have heard that is suposta make a diffrence with blasters... dont know if its true or not...

Put in a fresh plug! It made a big improvement on my kid's Blaster. (Don't use an "R" type NGK plug...R stands for resistor, which also means you won't have as much voltage at the plug tip. The Blaster doesn't need a resistor plug anyway.)If your plug seems to foul frequently, go to a hotter plug, a B7ES.

I run B8es plugs in the summer and b9es plugs in the winter on my zilla. That is what the manual says. all snowmobiles run b9es well most of them

My old blaster would take forever to start after it had been sitting a while when you dont have the effort to jump start it or it diddnt work a sure way to always get it started.. keep a small piece of hose or gas line on you machine, stick it down in the tank and put your finger over the end, take out the plug and dump a LITTLE down the cylinder.. guranteed start.. And I have heard that the B8ES does make a diffrence.. think that might have been why my blaster was so hard to start sometimes..

kyle, I have the exact same problem. With mine, some days it will start on the first kick, others I can kick and kick and it wont start, then I end up using ether which I hate. Last night, i let it sit out in the 35 deg. temps for a few hours after riding and it wouldnt even start after using the easy start. I had to get my dad to jump it. I cant seem to find out whats wrong. someone help me!!

are you on the gas when you kick it over? if so , then you're changing the injection mixture from about 100:1 to 20:1, too much oil and possible foul plug. I just use the choke on mine and have no problem no matter the weather or how long it has sat

bermbanger, may i ask what you mean by that? Quads should start it the cold you know. lol.
