Because I use my bike during hunting season under very dusty conditions I just purchased a K&N Filter. Do I need to instal a new jet kit? Do I need to make any adjustment? I have not yet installed the filter.

WELL WOULD RECOMEND THE JET KIT... YOUR GONNA HAVE ALOT MORE AIR FLOWING THROUGH.. I MY SELF WHEN I WENT TO THE K&N DID THE JET KIT AND CLUTCH KIT AND NEW EXHAUST... SINCE THE GRIZZ DOESNT HAVE A COMPUTER TO MONITER AIR FLOW, I WOULD DO THE JET KIT... TRY IT WITH OUT THE JET KIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPANS, BUT I THINK K&N AND A JET KIT WILL REQUIRE NEW EXHAUST...... IM NOT SURE BUT IT SEEMS LOGICAL...... ANYBODY ELSE HAVE IMPUT ONN THIS????????

If you bought the K&N to combat the dust you did the wrong thing. The K&N is a great air filter and I own two of them for my machine, but they are a high flow fabric air filter that gives you better performance than others but they dont filter fine particals of dust as well as a foam style air filter like a UNI dual stage which is designed to combat volcanic ash which is the finest dust there is.
You said you haven't installed it yet...don't.See if you can send it back and get a foam filter. Also oiling the filter is crucial. The filter just holds the oil you put on it.The oil does the actual filtering of fine dust particals and when you install the air filter you should run a bead of grease around the part that seals it to the air box.Hope I helped.

88' 250R many aftermarket parts K&N and Uni(for dusty conditions)air filters.
