Default Noisy top end

My 2004.5 Popo 700 developed a loud "clacking" noise in the top end (right side) while plowing snow for an extended period two days ago. I shut it down for the night, re-started in the morning, the noise persisted. Power was down slightly. As I loaded into the truck it quit. I took it to the dealer. Two days later they reported they fixed it "by changing the (week old) oil, filter and spark plugs."

I got the foreman on the phone, re-explained the problem. He's now pulling the head.

Any suggestions what I'm looking at?

If by top end you mean valve cover or head, then it must be valve train related. They are fairly simple, not much different than your typical small block V-8. They should be able to tell fairly easily once the valve cover is removed.
