Default Raptor 700?

Which one is the best? I'm not even cosidering the KFX unless it has a manual option I'm not aware of. An auto 700cc sport quad sounds like pure faggotry to me.

700xx vs 700r?

Your thoughts.........

Yamaha makes different machines because they're built for different uses. The YFZ has a high revving engine, stiffer suspension, and is designed for racing. The Raptor is built to be a better all-around machine that is comforable to ride all day, has lots of torque, and isn't as maintenance-intensive as the 450's. Plus it's got reverse.

Bottom line, they're both good machines, and depending on what you're using it for either one can be better than the other.

i think i raptor 700 is the best all around quad ever made. the yfz450 has it place also. if you do track riding and like to jump a ton get the yfz450. lighter more nimble bike and i whould get the raptor over the yfz if you do trail riding. yamaha raised the bar when they brought both of these bikes out.

Well........I ride trails.....nothing too gnarly, VERY mild jumps, and retarded amounts of wheelies. I have a 99' Warrior that's in real good shape........but I've had it for 2 months and have outgrown the power. I could build it via thousands of dollars....and then, I'd have a really fast (for what it is) 99 Warrior that cost 3/4 of a new bike.

Are there any problems that the 700 has?

What kind of bolt on gains can I expect from..........full pipe, power commander, alum. airbox, clamp on K&N?

the raptor 700 has no issues with it.
if you get dual exhaust a powercommander 3 and a k&n intake people are getting between 52-54 hp at the wheel.

I'm on my 2nd. 700R and I would have to say I think thay are great quads. I ride alot and I had over 4,000 miles on my '06 when I sold it and I have 3,000+ miles on my '07 and I haven't had any trouble with them
