Banshee Carb Issue.. Spitting fuel
#1
95 banshee. I just took both carbs apart and cleaned them thoroughly... main jet, everything and sprayed carb cleaner in them. Re-assembled and the bike started first kick with the choke on. I let it idle and it died. Tried to kick it over again and kicked it about 15 times and nothing. Then put the Choke back on and let it sit and it kicked over on the third kick. Took it up and down the street got into third gear and it ran ok... seemed when I was coming to a stop that seemed a bit jerky but didn't know if it was the new clutch cable I put on. Pulled it into the driveway and parked it. Was looking at the bike and tried to kick it back over after turned it off and wouldn't start with choke on or off. Got off the bike and noticed the drain hose from the bottom part of the right carb goes back down the swing arm and noticed a small puddle of something... GAS it was. So can someone help me. Will taking those TORS off help anything. Should I get new needles? jets? I am running 320 main jet and 25 pilot jet. Only thing done to it is FMF pipes and K&N air cleaner with air box lid off.
Any and all help is appreciated. I will be in front of the computer so I can answer additional questions.

I owned a 96 banshee years back with the same mods and thought I ran 275 or 285... I also thought 320's were huge. I checked the plugs and noticed they were a bit dark so I will probably get smaller jets. I forgot to mention I just got this quad and the only reason I took the carbs apart in the first place was because it was spitting fuel from overflow tube. Now you state to adjust my float bowl... how is that done? Would anyone recommend just getting new needles, etc. The needles were straight and didn't show any wear. I just don't know wny this damn float keeps sticking. Any suggestions?
BTW.. I am in San Diego.. Not much elevation here. We ride in Glamis.
One other question.. Does anyone have experience with those Throttle OverRide System (TORS) and eliminating them whether that would make any difference?

Re moving the tors wouldnt make any differance, its the needles not shuting off and flooding it.Mite try new needles, or needles and seats,or a good cleaning,You can buy a good set of stock carbs on e-pay for about 20 bucks!!! pays to have a extra set for parts Luck.Check and clean the tank, and change all the gas hoses also,if they have trash in them you will just keep fighting it, also install a good filter in the gas line before it gets to the Carby,s. Luck Eddie.

to adjust your float you have to take the float bowl off. First take a small ruler and check the height if it's correct than your good. if it's off than you need to adjust them. Second there's a pin that holds the float on pop that pin out and very gently bend the metal tab that's holding the fuel valve on either up or down depending on your previous mesurment. Then reinstall and check the level agian until it's right. repeat this procedure until your float level is right. after it's correct than your done.

What height should the float be? Do I measure it down or in the up position? I never knew there was a measurement for that. Thank you.
Think it needs new needles? I don't think it will hurt
