Default Float bowl drain won't stop leaking fuel

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem? I bought the machine a few weeks back and the arb was pretty screwed up by the original owner. I took it apart, replaced the jets with new ones. Now it runs and idles great but I noticed fuel leaking out the bowl drain line. Took out the screw and cleaned the scale off of it. Cleaned the seat but it still leaks fuel. I'm assuming that someone over tightened it and bunged up the taper. There's no debris in there which was my first thought. I guess I'll need to order a new float bowl unless someon here has another idea.

does it stop when you turn the gas off, it sounds like the fuel inlet needle and seat letting gas fill past where the float should stop it and running out the overflow you will need a new needle and seat if thats the problem. the small needle gets a groove worn around it and fails to seal correctly

Thanks

I'll order a new needle and seat. Can someone tell me what the float height should be and where to measure it from?
